SMILE Pro

SMILE Pro (Zeiss Vsumax 800) is the most modern, least invasive laser technology to correct refractive errors. SMILE laser eye surgery from Zeiss Visumax 800 laser is quicker and more comfortable. It lasts only about 10 seconds with no smell, no noise, no dry eyes and uses only one laser. Nearly 12 million procedures have been done world -wide. Dr Agarwal has been doing SMILE since 2018 after her course in London.

SMILE Pro: Benefits

  • Less invasive with no LASIK flap
  • No flap related complications
  • Less risk of dry eye as less nerves cut with 4mm vs 20mm cut
  • With no 20mm flaps, less risk of corneal nerve damage and potentially better corneal strength/stability than LASIK

SMILE Pro offers better control of spherical aberration and a larger optical zone, hence better night time vision in comparison to Lasik

FEATURES:

  • Safety & speed of recovery: Smile Pro is similar to PRK in safety and simplicity and even faster return to normal activities than LASIK. PRK has the safety feature of no LASIK flap, but may take longer to recover and return to normal activities. Smile Pro has no flap and with the ability to return to normal activities the very next day in upto 99% of cases.
  • Flapless: Minimally invasive SMILE Pro laser, unlike LASIK, has no flap hence no complications as a result of flap.
  • Minimally invasive: SMILE Pro uses only 3-4 mm tunnel in comparison to a 20 mm flap needed with LASIK, making SMILE® a truly micro surgery to correct vision. This also means less change to corneal strength, less dry eye and better quality of vision with a larger optical zone than with either LASIK/PRK.
  • Advanced technology: SMILE Pro uses the latest laser technology with completion in 10 seconds only. No matter how strong is your prescription, the treatment time is always the same. The laser passes through corneal tissue so it does not need to removed or lifted as it is need for PRK/LASIK.
